The future starts now

The date October 27th -The day started with me being nervous pfftttt what's that I don't do nervous. School the first day was awesome! I love being back in the learning environment, it's a great feeling. Honestly what was nice is the fact that I wasn't the old man in the class there are 3 people older than me. I definitely made the right decision about going, my future is going to be unlimited now.

Birthday

Tuesday Oct 21- Good day all around. I recieved 2 great books from a great woman in the 619. The mighty midgets invaded the house with homemade cards and a cake(they almost made me shed a tear). I went and chilled with my brother for a lil bit had a couple of beers with him(introduced him to the Optimator ty timmy).

Interesting day

Monday Oct 20- The day started out ok and proceeded to get better. More online apps. and of course some more online "Thank you for the app and resume we are considering it". Went to my financial aid meeting it went great, found out that there might be a possibility of starting school on Monday the 27th instead of February 9th. I am hoping that this happens let's get this future of mine started now.

Sunday Blues

Sunday Oct 19- I felt ok waking up already missing my kids but I will survive. Long day my adopted team lost, my team lost and hell I prolly lost some change too lol. Tomorrow is Monday and back to the job hunt grind.

My sons

Saturday Oct 18- I woke up nervous too funny imagine me nervous. I arrived at my ex's house at 9 am. I wanted to get a pic of my boys running to me but by the time I got out of the van Ian was already jumping to me so I had to catch him lol. Driving away with my midgets in tow I had tears rolling down my face I was and still am happy beyond words. I have great boys Logan 7 and Ian 5 they are my world. Our day started @ Big Boy(breakfast) then on to shopping for winter coats. I had my nephews as well and I could tell they all were itching to get at me lol. BRING IT ON hahaha I pulled into the park and no more than reached the grass and was gang tackled by 4 extremely happy boys. My youngest can punch as hard if not the hardest of all of them. We left and dropped my nephews off then my sons and I went off to the pumpkin patch. Have I said how great my kids are. All in all it was one of the best days I have had in months.

Old friends

Friday Oct 17- Highly uneventful day until later on. Meet up with my buddy Ryan for dinner and a few drinks. Of course knowing me it was Fri night ahhhhhh can you saw TIME TO DANCE

School

Thursday Oct 16- I took the morning to just get out of the house and relax. Downtown Detroit is still GHETTO lol but hey not everything can change. Admission interview went great I had to take 3 tests which I did extremely well on, the next step is financial aid.

Poundin the Pavement

Wednesday Oct 15th- It's hand shake,baby kissing and pavement pounding day.(hahaha) Well at least it was the latter of those. The one thing that i have done different this time is after the application and resume is that I got the contact info for the person making the hiring decision. Follow up is key I believe at this point lots of peeps want a job "Show them how much you want it" I have been told. Getting excited my admissions interview for school is tomorrow.

More of the same

Tuesday Oct 14th- Another long day of the same. I have a total of 28 apps done with good news in some regard. A few have responded with thank you the position has been filled and some others with thank you we are reviewing all applications. No reason for frustration finding a JOB is a numbers game.

To the grind

Monday Oct. 14th- The day started with a pot of coffee and a few smokes. 9 driver apps online and 9 sales job apps.
Honestly i wouldn't mind a driving job for the 1st shift I think that it would afford me the luxury of a possible 2nd job till school starts. My admissions interview and paperwork is Thursday at 3pm so we shall go from there.

New Sunday Same results

Sunday Oct 12th- Slow morning just a lounge style. Watched the Lions game with dad same results as always DAM that team aggravates me. Searched the papers for job prospects circled a few crossed out even more. Drive and determination tomorrow the blitz begins.

The fire is burning

Saturday Oct 11th- The morning started out pretty interesting I went to breakfast with my brother (just us) that is something that hasn't happened in years. Started the process for my future by checking out the school i would like to attend http://www.specshoward.edu/home.htm my future is now!!

Getting home

Friday Oct 10th - Wow what a long drive home!! I got in about 3:30pm and it only took 30min for my world to get blown up. I really can't even explain what truly happened with the ex wife but she decided that after a 3 day drive,2400 miles and no sleep that now was a good time to not allow me to see my boys. That is all on that subject for now.
